Bloomberry Resorts has put a PHP30 million (US$473,000) prize pool behind a year-end FUNaloMAX campaign, giving the Philippine operator’s in-house online platform its clearest large-scale acquisition and retention push since launch.
The campaign was announced on 26 October and runs from 17 October to 27 December. It combines ten weekly draws for 250 premium smartphones with bonus-credit awards and a year-end electric-car prize, according to ASEAN Gaming’s report. Participation is limited to verified users aged 21 or older, while suspended and frozen accounts are excluded.
Bloomberry is buying frequency, not just registrations
The structure matters commercially. Weekly prize cycles give the operator repeated reasons to bring users back during an eleven-week period, rather than spending the entire budget on one launch event. Entries for parts of the campaign are linked to eligible slot and bingo wagering, while the official FUNaloMAX page for the car competition ranks players by their highest validated win-to-bet multiplier across six eligible slot games. That component is scheduled to conclude on 27 December.
This is a meaningful next step for a platform that Bloomberry officially launched in July. The company positioned FUNaloMAX as its mobile-first, mainstream-premium counterpart to Solaire Online and said it had moved away from third-party platform dependence by building the technology in-house. Bloomberry’s corporate newsroom describes the product as part of its expanded digital portfolio.
The campaign sits inside a much larger digital investment
Bloomberry’s second-quarter regulatory filing shows PHP1.8 billion of operating expenses associated with online gaming in the first half of 2026, up from PHP509.5 million for MegaFUNalo! in the comparable 2025 period. The disclosure does not separate platform development, content, marketing and other digital costs, so it should not be read as the campaign’s budget base. It does show that Bloomberry’s online push is already a material operating commitment.
The group is also pursuing a second engagement model through OnlyFun.PH, which places creator-led livestreaming inside the gaming experience. IGI previously examined how that product could turn creators into an acquisition and retention layer. The new FUNaloMAX campaign adds a more conventional rewards engine alongside it.
Our view
Bloomberry now needs evidence that owning the technology improves customer economics, not merely product control. A PHP30 million campaign can generate registrations and short-term activity; the harder test is whether weekly engagement converts into retained, verified users after the prizes stop.
We expect the operator to judge this campaign on repeat active users, cost per retained customer, cross-use of FUNaloMAX and OnlyFun.PH, and the share of activity that remains incremental to Solaire Online. The prize pool is the visible number. The commercially important result will be whether Bloomberry’s proprietary stack lets it learn, segment and react faster than a white-label platform would.
